My experience as a blogger: Helpful tips on running a highly successful blog
1. Make sure that your blog is SEO optimized
In order for your blog to be able to attract new readers, you’ll need to ensure that each of your blog’s posts are SEO optimized and contain popular niche keywords which potential readers are likely to search for when they’re searching for a blog just like yours.
I personally found that when I started to optimize my blog posts for SEO, that the number of hits that my blog posts would attract increased substantially in a short period of time. This proves just how important SEO optimization is. If you’re looking for organic search and SEO tactics, Click Consult has many resources to help.
2. Don’t be tempted to stuff your blog posts with SEO keywords
While I never stuffed by blog posts with SEO keywords one of my close friends, who is also a fellow blogger made the mistake of overstuffing her blog posts with keywords. As a result, her blog was flagged by search engines such as Google and her blog was pushed down the search results for most search engines. Which resulted in her hits being slashed in half within a month.
So it’s well worth avoiding making the mistake of keyword stuffing your blog posts and making sure that your keyword density isn’t too low or too high.
3. Ensure that each of your blog posts features at least one high-quality photo
As humans are visual creatures, it’s a smart idea to ensure that you post at least one photo as part of each blog post which you publish. I’ve found that it’s a great idea to use photos to break up text. As most readers find it far easier to read text that is broken up into small manageable chunks, rather than being faced with a page full of text.
4. Consider creating several social media accounts for your blog
As an example, if you manage to create a Twitter account for your blog and build a sizeable following for your blog, you’ll be able to regularly post tweets which you’ll be able to use to link your Twitter followers to your latest blog post.
While I created a Twitter account, an Instagram account and a Facebook account for my blog, with time I found that Twitter was the most effective social media platform to promote my blog.
5. Make sure that your blog has a unique niche topic
In order to ensure that your blog stands out from your competitor’s blogs, it’s well worth making sure that you’ve carefully chosen a niche topic for your blog.
So if you’d love to run your own blog, it’s well worth learning from my experience as a professional blogger by taking all of the 5 tips listed above to heart. In order to increase your chance’s of taking your blog to the next level! #SEOYourBlog
