NOTE: I am ridiculous and started a list called “Things I Like in Books.” These are drawings of the things on that list. Truly AWFUL drawings. I am now going to share them with you one at a time. Mostly on Saturdays. Okay, here we go.
I like it when books feature Cinderella stories.
Examples: Any and all retellings of Cinderella are my jam, especially Cinder by Marissa Meyer.

haha I am not TOO fond of fairytale retellings but Cinder has been on my TBR list for the longest time!

Oh my gosh, I think this is my favorite of all your drawings. Your Cinderella really looks awesome! Way better than I could do.
I LOVE fairytale retellings. Not just Cinderella stories, although I love Cindy, myself. The first fairytale retelling I ever read was Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine – and I loved it. It actually might have been one of the first YA books I read, too. I was in college at the time.
I’ve not read Cinder, but only because sci-fi ish books aren’t usually something I like.
Have you read Just Ella? I found that to be quite disappointing as a Cinderella retelling. Actually it is more a continuation of the Cinderella story, but I felt like it took all the magic and romance out of such a wonderful fairytale.
Did you know that almost every culture has a Cinderella-like folktale? Isn’t that awesome?
Okay, I’m going to stop now.

I adore fairy tale retellings, especially Cinderella! My fave is Mercedes Lackey’s Phoenix and Ashes.
I think Cindy actually looks pretty good as a stick figure-plus she’s rocking some great hair

I love Cinderella retellings too (or pretty much any fairy tale, actually).

Cinderella retellings are the only ones I really like, probably because it can feel the most real in this world. I loved Cinder, but I think there are too much Cinderella stories out there, in books AND movies.

I think your stick figure looks great!
I am a fan of any retelling of an old classic. I recently read When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle which is Romeo & Juliet retold from Rosaline’s perspective, such a great idea and well done!
