Aura’s life is anything but easy. Her boyfriend, Logan, died, and his slides between ghost and shade have left her reeling. Aura knows he needs her now more than ever. She loves Logan, but she can’t deny her connection with the totally supportive, totally gorgeous Zachary. And she’s not sure that she wants to.
Logan and Zachary will fight to be the one by her side, but Aura needs them both to uncover the mystery of her past—the mystery of the Shift.
As Aura’s search uncovers new truths, she must decide whom to trust with her secrets…and her heart.

Except one very important thing: Jeri has a magic touch.
With this book and its predecessor, Shade, she’s taken themes (death) and devices (paranormal looooove) that I’ve seen done before and sprinkled some fairy-Jeri dust over it and made it something special. Something just heart-wrenching.
This series just hits me in the gut. I love paranormal books, but I have to admit that they’re hard to relate to on a deep level. I mean, it’s not like I’ve got a Casper in my life, yet I was turning every page, feeling alongside every character, till the very end.
I mean it – I felt for EVERY character. There’s a love triangle, and I’m always really judgey and territorial when it comes to love triangles. Here? Nope. I could relate to everyone involved and could hardly take sides. Sure, I had my favorites (hellooooo, Zachary), but it was still his rival who brought me to tears.
How does she do this? I don’t know, but I want more. What’s next, Jeri? Whatever it is, I’m sure it’ll be magical.
Check this one out, folks. And check out my review of Shade here.

I've avoided this book like the plague because I didn't think it sounded any different, you know? Now, however, I'm beginning to think I was seriously mistaken. Fab review, Anna!
